Three decades of grain, not guesswork.
From one hulling machine on the edge of Karur to a mill that supplies homes, hotels and distributors across Tamil Nadu.
It began with one hulling machine.
In 1994 our family bought its first hulling machine and set it up on the outskirts of Karur, on the road where paddy arrives from the delta belt and the villages around us. There was no marketing plan — just an agreement with farmers we knew, and a refusal to send out grain we would not cook at our own table.
Word travelled the way it does in a farming town. Families who milled with us once came back the next season. Shops in Karur began asking for bags. By the early 2000s we had outgrown that single machine and built our first full milling line.
Three decades later the scale has changed and the machinery is modern, but the test at the gate has not: if the paddy is not good enough, we do not buy it — and if the milled rice is not good enough, it does not leave.
"We are not trying to be the biggest mill in Tamil Nadu. We are trying to be the one your family keeps buying."

Where it began
A single hulling machine, a weighing scale, and paddy bought directly from farms around Karur.
The first full milling line
Dedicated shelling, polishing and grading equipment installed as demand grows beyond the local market.
Colour sorting arrives
Optical colour sorters and length graders are added — and broken-grain percentages drop sharply.
Parboiling and packing in-house
Steam parboiling and our own packing line bring the entire process under one roof.
Same family, same test at the gate
Around 500 tonnes a month moving to homes, hotels, caterers and wholesale distributors across Tamil Nadu.
Four habits we refuse to break.
Direct farmer relationships
We buy paddy from farms we know, at fair rates, and tell growers honestly what we are looking for. Long relationships beat last-minute bargains.
Grain-first decisions
Machines are set for the grain, not the other way around. Every variety runs on its own polishing, grading and moisture settings.
Clean, unhurried processing
Nothing is rushed to meet a deadline if it costs quality. Cleaning, milling and packing take the time they take.
Long-term trade partnerships
Hotels, caterers and distributors stay with us because the bag behaves exactly the same way every month.
Small enough to care. Big enough to supply.
